Midsummer day’s just a few hours away,
And the experts are forecasting rain,
It seems the Atlantic’s been up to it’s antics
So it’s wellies and brollies again.
D’you remember a time when June was sublime?
With sunshine from morning till night,
The warmth on our backs, no need for our macs,
The weather a constant delight.
It’s been such a bummer, this joke of a summer,
With everyone’s patience quite frayed,
But let us not mope, let’s continue to hope
That the good times have just been delayed.
